Jeannine Jay, MS, CDBC,CCUI, L-FDM-BS, PST
Jeannine has been the owner and lead trainer of Canine Complex & Friends and Canine Sports Complex Inc. for 30 years. Jeannine has a Master’s degree in Anthropology. Jeannine is very passionate about helping fearful dogs, dogs with high arousal, and dogs with aggression. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (with IAABC), as well as Family Dog Mediator. She is also the only Certified in Control Unleashed Instructor in the WNY area.. She is also certified as a Predation Substitution Trainer. Jeannine has an ethological approach to dog training. She is interested in approaching dog training from the perspective of what is important to for a dog to learn. She uses Choice based, Dog Driven methods, paired with an incredible understanding of canine body language to help both human and dog develop their understanding of each other and enhance their relationship. She has several courses including an Outdoor walking class, a Three Tirered Puppy Class, a Fearful dog class, Social Cues class, and a High Arousal class that is unique to WNY. Jeannine has owned and trained various dog breeds. She owns and breeds Australian Koolies. She continues to expand her education through reading, seminars, and certification programs.

Jeannine has several courses including an Outdoor Walking class, a Three Tiered Puppy Class, a Choice class, a Fearful Dog class and a High Arousal class which are unique to her facility.
Jeannine has owned and trained dogs as diverse as miniature poodles and Akitas. She now owns and breeds Australian Koolies and is involved in preservation of the breed. She continues to expand her education through reading, seminars, and certification programs.
Gillian Skidmore
Gillian has worked with dogs all her adult life, from dog sitting to dog daycare to dog training. She has recently acquired Monty, her first dog as an adult. Monty is a one year old shepherd husky cattle dog mix, and has already taught her so much about working with dogs. Her degrees are BA in Animal behavior from Canisius. MA in sociology from University of Buffalo. Gillian began assisting in classes at CCF in 2024. Which led to her fascination in dog behavior. She completed the CATCH Canine training academy, and she is now a certified dog trainer. She is now teaching her own classes including Natural Puppy class, Family dog experience, and Senior dog enrichment. She also is available for private at-home lessons for basic manners and minor behavior issues. Gillian hopes to spread knowledge to others through these classes. She is passionate about teaching the human as much as the dog.
