At Canine Complex and Friends we now offer an exciting three level course for puppies. It is designed to meet the needs of puppies as they grow from 8 weeks old to adolescence: individuality, exploration, careful exposure to novel stimuli, social needs, play, skills to develop resiliency and confidence, choice games, crate training, cooperative care, a mock vet class, introduction to riding in the car, going new places, meeting new dogs and people, recall for safety and more! Natural puppy’s three levels include: 8-16 weeks, 4-6 months and adolescence.

The curriculum was created for human and puppy to become an amazing team with a relationship built on trust, security, fairness, understanding (body language and canine communication are taught in classes), and choice. In a world that’s a human’s world, dogs often don’t have much agency and as a result develop anxiety and fear if their learning, environment, genetics, and components of self such as: health, individuality, reproduction, nutrition and other welfare elements aren’t balanced (LEGS, Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation). Many so called behavior problems are actually a normal response to the environment not meeting the needs of the breeds or individual in general.

Natural Puppy class is $200 for 8 weeks at each level.

Beginning Scent Work for the Modern Dog. In this class you will have the opportunity to learn traditional scentwork with the first scent, Birch. Through a series of fun activities, you and your dog will become a wonderful, communicative team. In addition to birch, you will learn different ways to incorporate scent into activities at home, using materials you already have on hand. Scentwork is an excellent way to work as a team and take advantage of our dogs' powerful instinct of sniffing. Class size limited to 6 dogs.

Classes are held at the NT and Buffalo Location.

Scent Work for Fun Class is $200 for 8 weeks.

Walking and Training Programs, We will pick up your dog from your home for their own personalized adventure. Whether your dog prefers a quiet at a park, a safe and secure off leash romp or a sniffari. We will create an individualized walk specific to your dogs needs with one of our certified dog trainer.

Dogs and Humans will learn about and explore Natural social interactions. The goal of this class is for dogs to be largely off leash. To join class dogs must go through an evaluation and must be able to maintain neutrality around other dogs and people.

Class take place at the NT Location as well as our East Amherst (weather Permitting).

Social cues is $250 for 8 weeks.

Senior dogs experience is all about enriching the senior years of your dogs life. While senior dogs struggle with Health & Mobility issues, in this class we focus on relaxation, safe and simple obstacle course and using their senses.

Senior dogs class is $200 for 8 weeks.

We offer specialized classes & private lessons for these wonderful dogs. Between setting up fun games, communications skills, or scent work around your house we look to enrich these special dogs lives.

Blind and/or Deaf Class is $200 for 8 weeks.
